Crafty Time on Doggo Bloggo | Dog Bandanas

April 1, 2020

Hi there friends! Welcome back to Doggo Bloggo. For Christmas I decided to make some fun reversible bandanas for Lily’s puppy friends. Today I want to share the instructions I followed. The only difference is, like I said before, I made them reversible. Instead of using the same fabric for each side, just use two different ones, then be sure to make the snaps reversible too. I’ll include links for the original poster’s instructions and the downloadable template at the bottom of this bloggo.

Supplies

  • Sewing Machine
  • Thread
  • Snaps + Snap Kit
  • Fabric Scissors
  • Fabric of your choice
    • Large – 5/8 yd
    • Medium – 1/2 yd
    • Small – 1/3 yd

Step One

Choose the appropriate size for your pup then cut two triangles from the fabric using the pattern as a template

Step Two

Place triangles pattern face to face. Pin and stitch (using a 1/2″ seam allowance) all the way around. Pivot at the corners and leave a 3″ opening along one long side so you can turn it inside out. Clip the corners then do the flip! Press the edges well.

Step Three

Top stitch around the entire triangle at 3/8″. ( I only did the top.) This is also to enclose the opening you used for turning.

Step Four

Add the snaps to the two corner about 1.5″ from the point. Put it on your pup and they are ready to go!
