Have Paws Will Travel | Doggo Travel Essentials

October 17, 2019

My first essential item for road trip travel is a seat cover. I knew when I got a new car I needed to protect my seats so I did what most sensible people do. I surfed amazon.com. 3 hours later I was seriously considering buying dog wine and realized I was wayyyy off track, as always, so went back to the seat cover I had started with. My second essential item is a harness/seat buckle strap. Along with a harness/seat buckle strap, I ended up going with URPOWER seat covers for both the front seat and the back seat, And I absolutely LOVE them. I personally like the seat buckle strap (which comes with the front seat cover) more than the one included with the actual harness so I use that instead.

  • 100% Waterproof
  • Protects seats from dog nails
  • Non-slip rubber backing
  • Easily installed/uninstalled
  • The side flaps on the hammock back seat cover
  • Easy to clean

My favorite features of the harness/seat buckle strap:

  • Easy to put on my pup
  • Soft on the inside that touches her chest
  • Easy buckle install

My second essential item is some way to give your doggo water while on the road. I love my Highwave AutoDogMug. It is easy to use and is a water receptacle/bowl all in one. All you have to do is squeeze the bottle and the water fills up at the top. When you’re done you release and the water that hasn’t been licked up will go back into the bottle. The bottle comes with a clip so you can clip it to your belt loop if you’re walking around. It is perfect for on the go and fits into standard size cup holders in any car.

Some other essentials I’ve learned to keep in the car are:

  • A towel in case you stop at a park and need to clean paws afterwards
  • Wet wipes for the same reason as towel
  • Snacks for your pup
  • Toy or something to chew on
  • Extra poop bags

Happy safe travels and have a great week!

Love,

Jess & Lily
