Looking for an easy fun treat for those cute pups at your feet? I gave these out for Christmas gifts to my furry family members this past year and some of Lily’s friends. Below is the super easy recipe. I ordered some of the ingredients off of amazon to make it easier but they are in stores as well.

Carob Chip Doggo Cookie Recipe

Carob Chocolate chip cookies for dogs made in tampa florida

  • 1.5 cups brown rice flour
  • 1.5 cups oat flour
  • 3/4 cup Carob chips
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup water

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Combine all the ingredients together in a large mixing bowl and use a spatula or large spoon to fold over the dough to moisten it throughout. Continue until you have a stiff, dry dough.

You can shape the dough however you like when placing it on your ungreased cookie sheet – you can roll it into a ball and slightly flatten it onto the baking sheet to form round cookies, or press the dough down onto a flat surface and use cookie cutters to create fun shapes. Be careful if you choose to cut the dough into shapes; since the dough is dry you may find that it breaks apart when transferring it from the cookie cutter to the baking sheet. This dough does not expand when as it cooks.

Place in the oven and cook for about 20 minutes. If your treats are very large, you may choose to cook them longer. Be sure to never use chocolate chips in theses dog treats!

Have a great week!
