When is the last time you took your dog on a date? With Valentine’s Day right around the corner why don’t you consider taking your pup on a date alone, or maybe incorporate them into your v-day plans? Below are some fun doggo date ideas to try out this year.
Cozy up on a blanket in a park with your pup. Meals are great too but you can also just lay down and read a book while you pet your doggo.
Get dressed up and have a photoshoot with your pup and your partner, if you have one. Capture romantic, silly, memorable photos with those you love.
Try taking your dog to an eatery with dog treat options or to a dog friendly restaurant. Check out a list of fast food restaurants that carry dog items as well as local Tampa Bay area restaurants that allow pups here: Treat Your Dog When You Treat Yourself
Take a stroll down the beach at sunset. It is relaxing and your dog will thank you for the exercise and all of those wonderful beach smells to sniff.
Most farmers markets are dog friendly. Check one close to you and head on out to shop local with your pup.
There are so many Airbnbs that accept dogs. Take an overnight or weekend trip with your pup to somewhere you’ve been wanting to go.
Outdoor movies in your city may allow dogs. Outdoor movie nights are fun for a relaxing evening out with your doggo.
Sometimes you just want to run around, or at least maybe your dog does. Take fido out to the dog park to hang out with some other doggy friends.
A night in with your pup is just as satisfying. Put on a good movie, drink a cup of tea, and cuddle with your pup on the couch.
Feeling in the gift giving spirit? Take your dog to the local pet store and let them pick out a fun toy or treat. Or if you prefer to have your things delivered to you, BarkBox has a Valentine’s Day inspired box this month. Order it before it is too late
I hope you and your doggo have a fabulous Valentine’s Day! Check out next week’s blog for some fun homemade Valentine’s Day treats as well!
Love,
Jess & Lily
